2021 Land Rover Discovery is the facelifted model which has been introduced by Land Rover India with three engine options - 2 Petrol and 1 Diesel engine and a total of 19 variants are available to choose from. Land Rover India has launched this luxury SUV with the starting price of Rs 88.06 lakh ex-showroom India for the Discovery 2.0L Petrol Base variant. Land Rover India is speculating the popular variant will be Land Rover Discovery 2.0L Petrol SE and Land Rover Discovery 2.0L Petrol R-Dynamic SE which are priced Rs 92.88 lakh ex-showroom and Rs 95.64 lakh ex-showroom respectively. The base engine option is the 2.0-Litre Turbocharged in-line 4 cylinder unit which punches out 300Ps / 296BHP max power at 5500 rpm and 400NM max torque from 1500 to 4000 rpm. Power is sent to all four wheels via 8-Speed automatic transmission. The next drivetrain is powered by a bigger and powerful 3.0-Litre Turbocharged 6-cyl Petrol engine which produces 360PS / 355BHP max power and 500NM max torque which propels this massive luxury suv through all four wheels via 8-Speed automatic transmission. The last engine option is 3.0-litre turbocharged 6-cyl diesel unit which maxes out 300Ps / 296BHP and 650Nm max torque that accelerate this luxury suv from 0-100kmph in 6.9sec till a 209kmph top speed is achieved. The price starts from Rs 88.06 lakh ex-showroom and goes all the way upto Rs 1.19 cr ex-showroom for the Discovery 3.0L Diesel R-Dynamic HSE variant.

The 2021 Land Rover Discovery comes with the following equipment list: from the front it has retained the same face like the Discovery 5 which was updated a few years back, this is the mid-cycle facelifted model launched by Land Rover India. Rear tailgate is electrically operated via a remote key that gives the luggage space of 1231-Litres behind the second row and when the third row is deployed to accommodate 7 adults, luggage space reduces to 258-litres. Panoramic fixed glass roof includes split section for front and rear passengers comes as standard which can be upgraded to sliding panoramic sunroof with fixed rear moonroof can be equipped at additional cost so as the fixed roof rails.
Interiors are decorated in ebony leather upholstery whereas higher variants get the grained windsor leather upholstery with morzine headliner. Driver zone consists of 12.3-inch fully digital high definition interactive driver’s display which comes with the multiple display mode that can be changed via a toggle switch in the multifunctional steering wheel. Steering wheel is the updated unit compared to the outgoing model, it is an electrically assisted unit which comes with multifunctional buttons on either side of the four spoke steering wheel, steering wheel can be adjusted electrically for reach and rake. Front cabin features 14-way electrically adjustable comfort seats with captains armrest as standard where heated and cooling functionality can be equipped as a part of additional extras whereas 20-way electrically adjustable comfort seats with memory function, heated and cooling seats on top model HSE. Second row of seating gets manual sliding function, electric recline and folding function with centre armrest and headrest on base variants whereas heated rear seats can be equipped at additional cost on bse variants and it comes standard on HSE variant. Cooling seats can be equipped as a part of optional extras.
