Volvo S60 is the entry-level luxury sedan by Volvo India. After being absent from the Indian market for almost 2 years this 2021 Volvo S60 is a completely new model based on the similar design language like its elder sibling “Volvo S90”. Volvo India is working towards no Diesel engine philosophy hence Volvo S60 is offered with one drivetrain only which is a 2.0-Litre Turbocharged In-Line 4-Cyl Petrol unit punches out 190PS / 188BHP of power at 5000 RPM and 300NM of torque delivers in wide RPM band starting from 1400 RPM to 4000 RPM. Power is sent to front wheels only and it is controlled via 8-Speed Automatic Transmission. The 0-100kmph can be achieved in 7.1sec and flat-out it will do an electronically limited top speed of 220kmph. Volvo S60 combines state of the driving aids and drivetrain refinement with the updated design language and upmarket creature comforts. This entry-level luxury sedan is available in top-of-the-line T4 “Inscription” variant which is priced at Rs 45.90 lakh ex-showroom India. India, being a very demanding and price conscious market Volvo India has nailed the launch of this luxury sedan by undercutting its competition on price-point.

Either side is the pair of automatic active bending LED headlights with auto-high beam assistance including Thor’s Hammer like LED daytime running lamps. Front bumper has been redesigned and features LED fog lamps with chrome highlighting strip over it for added sophisticated and luxurious look. Ventilated disc brakes are standard at all-four corners. Driver zone features an electrically assisted unit of multifunctional three-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel that comes with steering wheel mounted pair of paddle shifters and it can be adjusted manually for reach and rake. Instrument binnacle is a 12.3-inch fully digital cluster with 4-graphic modes which can be controlled via diamond finished scroller situated in the centre console. Front cabin features a pair of 10-way electrically adjustable orthopedic seats that can be adjusted as a 4-way lumbar and comes with a memory function for the driver. Seat heating and seat ventilation come as an added comfort feature for front occupants.
